Already got my artist picked out and an idea for a full sleeve.. I watch a lot of tattoo shows and dig through portfolios, I think it's silly to have one artist do all your work because everyone is good at different styles.

I'm planning to get a sleeve representing some of the darker imagery inspired by Florence and the Machine lyrics.. for example, the suicide of Virginia Wolf, from the track "what the water gave me", walking into a river with her overcoat pockets full of stones.
I also want to get a science/philosophy inspired trash polka piece, but the art style is not very popular or well established in the states yet. and a frog and the scorpion fable, somewhere. |

I was literally thinking about that fable not even a week ago. Thought about it for a good long while too. It's got layers and is sadly accurate.

That sounds amazing; I love it. (Virginia Woolf and Florence Welch go hand in hand, don't they? I highly recommend reading The Waves in the bathtub while Seven Devils plays at deafening volume)
edit: BY THE WAY I learned recently that they're FINALLY going to make a film about Woolf and Vita Sackville-West's romance and Eva Green, my wife will be in it!!!!!) |
