It's not as physically intensive as my last job. I'll be working in the store and packing stuff and helping out customers. I'll barely if ever be lifting over 40 pounds on a regular basis.

**** that's awesome. How's the pay?

I'm considering getting a job at the airport transporting the luggage from the terminal... pay is like $18 an hour or something insane like that.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

When I was in High School, I worked every Xmas loading for UPS. The hours are horrible but the actual lifting of said boxes wasn't anything to cry about, unless your a pussy of the highest order.

My boss's dog sneakily ate my lunch yesterday. It was pretty goddamn adorable.

Just reporting what my friend said

I applied for a UPS job before I got this job at Dollar General

I stock shelfs for 8 hours zzz
I remember getting some breakouts on the face from all of the dust. It is extremely monotonous, but paid decent for entry level stuff. I think any entry level job isn't gonna be desirable in the long run. In the short term its a **** job, but if you are offered a delivery route it can grow to be quite lucrative as those things go. Our driver that delivers here at work has done it for twenty plus years and he makes about 70,000 a year with incentives. I wouldn't call that lucrative but you can get by in Cali on that.

I stock at a grocery store so it can't be much worse.

I just found out this morning that UDO is playing a full set of Accept songs, the last tour he will ever play Accept songs on, in Vancouver tonight for $35 at one of my favorite venues. I told my mother earlier this week that I'd take her out for dinner tonight, and I won't leave my Ma hangin', even for UDO. So now I am tasked with finding somebody that I can convince to go so that I can experience it vicariously through them in the form of a story. Fortunately, one of the Russian engineers that I work with is a HUGE Accept fan, I told him about the show this morning and he's flippin', looks like he's going to do it for sure.

Udo's not gonna play any more Accept songs? I guess eating food has lost its appeal to him.

I used to move thousands of pounds of merchandise daily so the weight requirements for this job is a humongous step down. Plus, I don't have to work in a disgusting disease infested trailer like I was for 3.5 years at my last job.

Trust me, for me, this is a glorious opportunity.
