I was reding the posts in the political rant thread.
I missed all the fun. Went to practice and drove through four different states. Maryland, delaware, NJ and new york. I'm suprised we didn't get pulled over.

woke up at 5am to go skiing, was out the door by 5:30, and in the lift line at 8:30. As much as i love fernie, it was pretty mediocre, which is understandable being the first day of the seasonand all, but since all the other mountains in my area have had stupidly good opening weeks i guess i had high expectations. It was still tons of fun of course, the snow was just super windswept and crusty, which made it tough to ski, but i found some pockets of good pow in the morning, that was still soft (albeit very tracked out) by the afternoon. The only really bad thing that happened was actually on the first run of the day. I was flying down, went over a small cat track lip and my binding pre-released, which cause my left ski to fly off when i really didnt need it to, which caused me to fly through the air and do something bad to my left shoulder. luckily it didnt really start hurting till i was driving home, but now i cant really lift my left arm without a lot of pain. but it should be fine by wednesday for skiing again. The drive hoe was interesting too, what should have been a 3 hour drive took me almost 5 cause i was so tired. i had to pull over twice to take a nap, and a few times i'm sure i actually fell asleep at the weel for a few seconds, which scared the **** out of me. this in spite of drinking 3 redbulls and a large coke just on the drive back.
