You have to go north for that. North East, I'm sure people in Cali say it too more around the LA area though.

You just haven't gone to any parties lately when it's been completely lit. I feel sorry for you.
Stop it, those parties can be off the hook or cool or crazy but they don't need to be lit too. It is such an unnecessary word it frickin bothers me. It sounds as stupid as YOLO. I don't see it having too much staying power.

Force the whole family to take one of those cheesy Christmas pictures while wearing personalized ugly Christmas sweaters, and then send them out with a family newsletter?

My dad is an anti global warming nonce and I just spent a good half hour tearing down his points. It's crazy how people can straight up deny facts when presented to them (I was pulling up sources as I made my retorts, mostly from this site: https://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php). The worst part is the way people try to make themselves out to be skeptics.

What is the foundation of his non-belief? The talking heads on the right? Obviously some people have a motivation ($$$) to try to denounce the science.

It's probably why my moms think Jesus is the answer to everything. Any solution that is too complex and scientific is too hard to learn so magical answers work better.

He goes on and on about the eleven year sun cycle and how arctic ice is expanding, despite the fact that solar activity is decreasing and the arctic ice, while having swung back in surface area, is dangerously thin.

He's a party aligning Republican who's most definitely looking at this like a political issue. I kind of hate Al Gore for kicking that off.
