It could also be a sunrise...

Yeah, I was just curious. Not all tattoos have to have stories behind them. Most people I feel just get tattoos because they like something that looks cool.

I'm kind of a tattoo snob where all of my tattoos have meaning/stories behind them. I would never put a tattoo on my body just because it looks cool. I feel like what I think is cool today, isn't going to be what I think is cool in the future and tattoos are permanent unless you pay for laser treatment or get them covered up with another tattoo design.

I feel like minimalist tattoos are really popular nowadays. A couple of my friends are planning to get those type of tattoos.

Yeah sorry to hear that. I hate those type of days. Well as long as no one died, today is a brand new day.

That's part of the reason I like it. Kind of ambiguous in my opinion.

To be honest, I always felt that way too, but as soon as I decided that I truly wanted tattoos, I realized that I don't really have anything meaningful to put on me. I think any sort of name tattoos look corny, and even if they are done well, you never know what could happen down the line, and I'm not a very religious person either so that rules out any of those tattoos. The only tattoo with a true meaning that I can see myself getting is possibly one to do with my grandmother, as she's always been the most important person in my life.

My tattoos are used to mark big life events that have happened to me. So if I was in your shoes. I would get one related to graduating from high school and another one when you graduate college. Those type of things. I have a tattoo that marks the period of time from when I was 17-21 and I clubbed and drank very hard. I also have a tattoo that relates to my love life from the ages of 22 til about 28 or so and my view on love. I feel like tattoos should be used as a way to mark periods of your life just like how certain Native American tribes view tattoos. I also have memorial tattoos as well. You should definitely get one for your grandmother since she was such a special and influential person in your life. You don't have to get her face tattooed on you but get something that reminds of you. Tattoo something that she liked or something that reminds you of her.

Yeah, for sure. I'm thinking maybe just like her birth date or her initials or something along those lines.
