Have you thought about seeking professional help? Therapist or Psych?

I saw my therapist today. He has gotten better about letting me speak. My therapist was so bad at his job that he would take up 45 mins of my hour session talking himself instead of letting me talk.

Also yes batty, she has you dead to rights. You do look like you would be into pegging.

I've tried it but I'm not comfortable with it, so it just made it awkward and I felt like I was lying to them. I also felt judgement about everything I said so I decided to stop going.

A lot of it stems from my anxiety that I've had since a kid and my inability to let go of a situation that I have no control over.

Basically, i'm too compassionate towards things that don't deserve my attention.

Ahh okay, therapy isn't for everyone but sometimes it helps.

Last sentence hits kind of close to home to me but I feel like over time I've grown out of it.

But I got to the point where I take the serenity prayer to heart.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

Damn. That hits home as well. I'm not religious at all, but I really like that.

It's just how I've always been, and even if I can't help a situation, I try to, and when I don't, I blame myself. It's a ****ty reason to be upset, but that's how my brain works.

yeah I'm not religious but I've always been spiritual. I don't go to church but I've always had this spiritual connection with the world around me I guess. So I apply that prayer to my daily living and it works to help keep me calm.

Yeah it's something that maybe you can slowly work on but don't beat yourself up about it.

We are all works in progress.

You do know there is a difference right? Or do I need to explain it to you?

Being spiritual and not being religious is a pretty common practice. I don't see the problem.

What are they supposed to say then?

It's an important distinction to be made.
