Work up in a bad mood, but then I checked my email and saw that I got accepting into a possible position for a website that will allow me to write articles for them on various topics. The payment will depend on how much my articles get looked at, but this will be nice since I'm not working anywhere else due to a disability. If I can start to make some money doing articles like I do at this forum, I will be extremely happy.

Congrats Ki! I had my blog partnered with Google not too long ago but I completely lost my motivation and because I've only made a few posts since, I've earned a total of $.83 or something. Hopefully your position pays a little better.

I've looked into the company that I'll be possibly working with and they seem legit. They've got 5+million subscribers on Youtube, and millions of views on their website. I'm still emailing back and forth, but this opportunity could be huge.

Could open a lot of doors in the future then. Best of luck!

got my cable/internet set up at our new place. I haven't had cable since I moved out, but I was assuming set up would be similar to internet aka take 8 min.

this took 3 hours (which meant almost 5 for me since he showed up after the 2 hour period they gave me). is this a common thing or wtf? I know there was a problem with our suite's old dormant security system but for real what do they do that takes that long?

I know what you mean. It always irritates me when they do that. It's like seriously? I'm the customer. Shouldn't you be the ones bending over backwards to help me. Terrible customer service.

They're trying to get the most out of your buck. Most contractors that set up internet, or do yard work, etc get paid by the hour, so the longer they can take to set these things up, the more pay they get. Plus, when they say "we'll be there between 10-4" they usually mean they'll be there around 3:30. Same goes for truck drivers and the like. That's why if you work in a warehouse and you order supplies, they come later in the day so they can get the most bang for their buck.

in fairness they did warn me beforehand (their email said the appointment was for 4 hours), but I honestly didn't even consider it could take nearly that long. It mostly just sucked for me as workwise im already swamped and now got backlogged another 3 and a half hours. next week is going blow but ill let future-9tales deal with that mess

off to get some beer in me now
