I remember we used to drive into the city at night with our bikes strapped to the trunk and park along LSD (Lake Shore Drive), then bike to multiple bars/coffee shops until the sun came up. Rush street and the surrounding area was always the go-to party district back in the early 90's. Then, after every one is good and plastered someone would always shout "Let's go to Starved Rock!". Always a bad idea. Everyone would be sleeping by the time we got there. I just can't do shit like that anymore, but dam it was a lot of fun.

Today updated, since I need money for stuff like living and I'm at work, I get to watch reps from Kentucky State burn one my units I designed. Then it's off to watch some baseball.

I'm glad you've got some good memories here, Plank! I've been here 7 years but haven't yet had a reason to travel south of the downtown library.

In an effort to get out of the house my guests and I headed down to the Canal Fest in Tonawanda the other night. Dear god, it was a miserable, wretched, garbage-filled expanse of cultureless, drunken, and obnoxious cretins. Call me pretentious but my skin crawled at the very sight of the place.

We walked the canal but exited as quickly as possible. It's sad what's become of this city.

For me and my friends in uni, it was Sunshine Cafe, which was quite ironic, since it was packed with college students all night. Thank God for Earlham College, the one bright spot in my town.

I'll bet there's some killer disc golf courses though. You should go disc golfing all the time. I would.

Indeed there is. One right in the woods/park behind my high school actually.

The 0.25 speed setting on Youtube is hysterical on any video. Especially Trump speeches.

I saw a horrific traffic collision on the way to work this morning. One of the cars was totaled.

I once saw a trike (three wheeled motorcycle) explode merging into a lane when he didn't check his blind spot and clipped a guy. The dude flew off and busted his head open. He convulsed with blood spewing out of his brain and died in the helicopter. It something you'll never forget.

Do you know if anybody died?

Don't know. Just saw the cops and the ambulance there. It was right in front of the 7-11. The totaled car was in the middle of the road, and, of course, shattered glass had flown everywhere. Had to get up on the sidewalk so as not to risk popping my bike tires.

EDIT: upon reflection, I bet the driver was playing Pokemon Go! (piss be upon it) because he rear-ended another car so hard that he totaled his own.
