Generally? Yes. However, this situation has passed my statute of giveafuckitations.

The past few days have been abnormally good for me. I don't know what it is, but I'm actually quite cheery recently. The forums are more active than usual, I'm almost done with Solaris (best novel ever), and I had a CCR marathon yesterday which always makes me happy.

Is the English translation well done? For some reason the only available German translation of Solaris is terrible, as if a monkey did it. Too bad, since I'd love to let some German fiends read it.

I don't speak Polish, but it's a fantastic novel. I'd say it's a very well done translation. You know how pickly I am when rating novels despite my optimism? I use a 1-100 scale, and it's fairly rare I give a 100 to a novel. This is 200, and that's the Engish translation. I'm not joking. Best novel I ever read beforehand wad Frankenstein, and this is literally twice as good.

I read Solaris pretty recently too. Big fan of Tarkovsky's dialogue when it's printed at the bottom of the screen.
