Getting ready to head downtown for the deposition of the President and owner of the Chinese factory we're suing. It's taken about 9 months of wrangling to get to this day (the deposition will probably take at least 3-4 days). We have so much ammunition on this guy it's ridiculous. Our two lawyers are foaming at the mouth in anticipation of tearing this guy to shreds.

His newest strategy (based on the most recent discovery and his oral responses to our interrogatories) is to point all of the blame at the US mega corp, who we're also suing. This is EXACTLY what we hoped for. Let them point fingers at each other as to who truly screwed our company over.

Should be a long day for sure. He'll be under oath and videotaped so he should be a nervous wreck. They'll be at least 6 lawyers in the room along with the court stenographer, an interpreter, the video dude, as well as me, my boss, and our own interpreter - who knows the Chinese dude well (she use to work for the company and handled all of the communication between him and my boss).

We also will have a mediator judge on call in case the dude refuses to cooporate. His office is right across the street so he can show up and order the dude to comply or otherwise face major financial sanctions.

8 lawyers in the room, 16 people total. Went from 9:00AM till 7:00PM. And get to do it all again today.

When most people need haircuts, they go to a barber, or a saloon, or get a friend to do it. What do I do? Well I say, "I'm not going to let some *** cut my hair. Where's my razor?" Then I do it myself.
