Because I'm pretentious?

Because you lick your lips at the thought of my curly, Irish, chest hair.

Yep, ages ago. I didn't remember the name but it's one of those short stories I think of every so often.

1408 is his best short story out of the ones that I've read so far.

RoxyRollah 05-10-2016 04:21 PM

1408 is a evil ****ing room!

Frownland 05-10-2016 04:22 PM

Spoilers please, it's only been out for 17 years.

Back when I read King, I always preferred his short stories to his novels. He has a way of making them drag on. And on. And on. And on...

My favorites were "The Ride" and (the short novel) "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon." Also enjoyed the one about the solstice but I forget the name of that one.

I'm all about Carrie. Like most of his novels, he kind of flubs the ending, but it's short enough that it's still quality for the most part.
