Started my new job yesterday. Don't like it very much so far. The pay's better, and the hours 're better, but I'd forgotten how annoying people are. And how they don't shut up. I don't like waking up at 6am either. And I miss the animals. And I miss silence. Animals ain't as needy as people. I think I made a mistake switching jobs. Haha.

But yeah, it is early days. Maybe I'll acclimatise in time.

In what ways do you have to deal with people?

My new job has me working with people all day and so I have to listen to them telling me about their weekend, their mother-in-law, the movie they watched. It's probably not an issue for most people but I'm used to, and enjoy, peace and quiet. I don't like people trying to amuse or entertain me, and I don't like being expected to amuse or entertain anyone else.

I understand your pain. People are mostly really boring.
Although right now I work with some pretty great people and actually enjoy interacting with them.
But that's more of an an exception for me.

My 10 month old daughter has her first ever cold, we're having to get up 3-4 times a night. And I've got 10 gigs this week (it's high season for gigs here being late summer). So if I don't post anything next week I'm probably in a coma.
