Discovered the band of my dreams from the early 70s.

Discovered that they'd inspired and collaborated with several of my favorite artists.

Discovered that just 30 days ago, their entire catalog was remastered and issued as a gorgeous limited edition vinyl box set in Germany.

Discovered it was still in print.

Phoned up my local record shop who has a source overseas.

Secured a new copy at a lower price than any of those offered on Discogs.

It's on its way to his shop now.

These moments are pure magic - when I can still find brilliant and soul-stirring tunes after all my years of lecturing, archiving, and documenting the sounds of the 20th century.

Not even gonna tell us the band? or should I already know?

I hear she made a time machine out of empty lipstick cases and glitter.

Accidentally showed up 30 minutes late for work today and overheard other workers talking **** about me later on in the night. I think I've officially made enemies with the old lady floor associates of Wal-Mart.
