I was just invited to an open mic tonight. An old friend that I haven't seen in years has been hosting one every Friday at a bar my old band used play at. Apparently he knows all the people from my old band too. Small world.

On a different note, here's a funny email exchange from this morning:

x-GF: Happy Friday! Woot! Woot! Got most of my 1099’s done & now boxing up 2015 stuff. Yippee me! How was your schrimpkin?

Me: Shrimp-a-licious.

x-GF: I do like shrimp. As long as it doesn’t look like shrimp. As long as I don’t see it alive first. As long as it doesn’t have any legs. As long as it doesn’t have any eyes. I’m I annoying you yet??? Don’t answer that!

Me: No, not at all. Emails are silent.

x-GF: Okay, I’ll call you. Ha! Ha! Ha! I’m so funny!

Me: Just turned my phone off.

x-GF:
