Win-Win.

That's how my Step-Dad did it.

Hangover from hell today. Ugh. All I remember is watching the Cubs win last night, then it's pretty much a blur after that. Came into work an hour late, only to leave a half hour later to go home and sleep, only to be woken by my boss at 11:30 saying that the shop needs drawings to keep them going as they're almost out of work, so I cart my ass back to work, and here I sit a little less hung over, but still feeling like I got hit by an M55 Howitzer. The shop is now running smooth with plenty of work, and it's almost time to watch the Cubs clinch the Division while I do it all again.

So I was talking to one of my managers today, and we were on the subject of the latest trainee manager, Derrick. Apparently Derrick is gay (why is this a recurring theme lately?), but at one time was in the closet with a wife and six kids. Eventually he came out and left his wife to go... do his gay thing, I guess. Sucks for the wife, obviously, but he's gotta do what he's gotta do.

Then my manager told me that Derrick had been bragging that not only had he left his wife, but that he had ditched his kids too. As in just abandoned them like hot trash by the side of the road. Just like my dad.

I don't know if it's better for my job or Derrick's teeth that he'll only be training out our store for two more weeks before transferring to the store where he'll actually be managing (that's standard operating procedure for trainee managers). Cause if I had to work with him indefinitely, there may very well have come a time when I would have to tell my boss in no uncertain terms that he was to shut the **** up about that **** when he was around me.

Now all I have to do is be vaguely polite for a couple weeks before hopefully never seeing the ****ing **** again.
