I just can't justify identifying myself as a juggalo. I also prefer Eminem over ICP.

I'm embarrassed that I was made to read this post with My own two eyes

If I want legitimately good hip hop I'm not going to go to horrorcore in the first place.

Actually it does. Take Twiztid. They have grown in every single way. They use multiple syllables now, their delivery has gotten a lot better, their lyrics are a lot less corny and thought out much better. They have matured. They have gone from songs like '**** On The 1st Date' to 'All The Rest'. Their albums don't include nearly as many references to their genitalia nor things going into anuses.

ICP have become even more immature. They went from 'Nothing's Left' to 'Miricles'. Rarely do they ever put out anything that is as politically or socially reflective as their early work. The concept of their new project is find Jesus or you will forever be miserable. Their concept of their first project was taking the violence and carnage of the lower class and bringing it to the upper class so they can't ignore it.

A lot of the acts they inspired are usually just corny plagiarized versions of ICP.

Haven't listened to all that much new Twiztid, but even as far as Mutant, Man's Myth, and W.I.C.K.E.D., they sounded like a goofball group who'd been told by their fanbase that they were geniuses enough times that they'd started to believe it.

The results being musically as solid as usual, but actually cornier, cause now they were reaching beyond their limitations, defining them for all the world to hear in a way that they never did when they were just talking about their dicks.

Maybe their subsequent albums have matured to a point where they don't sound like goofballs trying too hard not to sound like goofballs, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Not that I care, since I don't go to Twiztid for maturity.

ICP's social lyrics were always ****. They took the class warfare of gangsta rap, and turned it into whiny wealth envy from a group who were just bitter that other people had things they didn't. I don't see any difference between Carnival of Carnage and "Miracles", since they both stem from that same sense of bitterness toward people who had something they didn't, whether it be money or education.

It wasn't about the envy of people being richer, it was about how the poor stay poor and the rich get richer as they spit on the poor for being poor rather than doing something to help them. Now, I agree that their classist reaction to classism is a bit contradictory and juvenile, but the initial message is completely relevant even in these times with the wealth gap between the ultra rich and the middle class becoming larger and larger. People these days work harder for less and are told that they aren't working hard enough.

Miracles was not about envy of the educated. It was a very sad and immature attempt at telling people to appreciate whats around them. I mean, ICP songs aren't that complicated, how you could confuse the concepts behind them is beyond me.

I strongly disagree with the Twiztid statement. I don't think I can convince you otherwise, if you don't see growth between W.I.C.K.E.D. and Freek Show.

Sure it's a relevant message, but it's not a message I look to ICP for, since their delivery is so poor and their motives so self-absorbed.

Their anti-intellectualism is unintentional, but all that **** about scientists being liars just comes off as them being ignorant and bitter about other people being more educated than them.

Probably not.

The only reason to grow a beard despite it being very thin is if you are an old asian martial arts master.
Are you? Hm?

I normally don't exploit my drug use, never have, but right now I'm sufficiently fucking baked.
