Alright, so yesterday I read the first assignment in my new computer class, and it just kind of dawned on me that I'm about to really immerse myself, and become professionally knowledgeable about a subject that I find hella cool.

I already figured IT would be interesting, but I was still making a career decision based on a need to make any kind of decision. Now I'm finding myself kind of excited about the path I'm going down, which is almost an entirely new experience for me.

I don't trust it.

But if you use a man's name for a screen name, then people will assume you are a dude. If this is something you don't want, then...

Makes sense. In one forum I have a Nancy in my nickname, in another one Stacey...

But I've neither of the names as well.

Today marks the first day that I've ever seen a public shaming. I was walking into Walmart when I noticed a young kid holding up a sign. Kind of thought it was going to be your standard solicitation type of deal, but as I got closer, I was able to make out what the sign said, in addition to the dejected look on the kid's face.

Here's what the sign read: "I was caught stealing. You cannot trust me."

Turns out that the father was making the kid do this. The kid was standing at the entrance. Not something you see everyday.
