Music Banter - Your Day

Today's my birthday.

I'm 26.

I've been showered with many messages on multiple platforms, wishing me well.

A package came today, from my soul-sister, a wonderful girl I've known for 6 years or so - packed to the brim with vintage goodies and a lovely stack of wax.

My biological sister (age 21) drew this lovely picture for me

Spoiler for she is a talented artist:

A close friend of mine (who doesn't even use social media - possibly because of his substance abuse issues vs his unwillingness to make an ass of himself in a way that can be screenshot) remembered it was my birthday and sent me a sweet little message via text.

Plus I look really cute today and Ki and I are going out for dinner with his parents tonight. :)

Today is a good day.

So, how's it feel to be closer to thirty than twenty?

I remember the day when one of the girls I used to work with said something like that to me. I wasn't even mad; she's just young and adorable.

But it feels ok, I guess.

As long as I live fully through this year and don't die during my next, I'm ok with being closer to 30 than 20.
