It was the most unbearable pain I've ever felt. I walked for 4 hours completely disorientated 99% sure I was gonna die (felt more like an eternity) when I finally found a neighborhood with people and banged on this lady's car door and just about instantly passed out. The next thing I know a bunch of firefighters were pulling me into an ambulance and there were about 20 people all around me and I couldn't stop saying a bunch of weird ****. I recall telling this guy he had an awesome moustache. The firefighters kept telling me to stop swearing and saying ****ed up **** in front of the kids, and I kept apologizing and then doing it again. They thought I was hyped up on LSD or something, but I guess I was simultaneously having a mental breakdown. Spent the night in the ER. Good times.

Deserts suck.
wanna give some backstory on why you would "leave the house in a fit of rage to spend the night on the streets," or are you content with just informing us that you are in fact incapable of surviving on your own in the desert?

Ok, so the story:

My daughter was involved in a fender bender a couple weeks ago. Her passenger side brake line blew out and she tapped the car in front of her which then tapped the car in front of that. Since the car had no brakes, it had to be towed, so I had it towed to my buddy mechanic's house, who was on vacation at the time. The tow truck driver dropped it in the driveway, so I figured I'd be nice and move it to the street (which is a cul-de-sac). Apparently this is not allowed, so the next day there was a parking ticket. Yesterday, I went to pay the ticket in person at the police station. I handed the clerk the required $100, and proceeded to tell her what had transpired, to which she exclaimed "That's terrible! I'm letting you off with a warning.", and she gave me my $100 back and tore up the ticket.

Kinda anti-climactic, but...

Yay.

You should have slipped her back a $20 and said lunch is on me.

I was in shock. I'd have given her the entire $100, but I was in a hurry to get back to work and wasn't really thinking about tipping anyone. Especially a uniformed employee of the county/city. After all the BS one goes through here in Cook County, which is about to be the highest taxed county in the nation, and all the hoops a person has to jump through just to have the privilege of driving, I'll take what ever I can get.

Have you seen government employees? It's like if Walmart shoppers actually worked there.

Well, I assumed we were talking DMV level employees.
