What do you want to happen? What's your ideal scenario?

srry if im being nosey, just trying to help.

Not nosey at all. I'm open to all kinds of advice and interpretation at this point.

The truth is that I'm probably not very clear. I don't know how to flirt, because I never had a romantic relationship modeled in my real life. Conversely, I don't know what it looks like when people flirt with me, so I've missed a lot of what might have been opportunities, and now I'm desperately trying to find a balance between flirting and hiding my feelings which probably looks exactly like regular friendship. It's brutal, and it seems like no amount of reciprocal hand-brushing and knee-touching and teasing can undo the impressions I've made.

There are two.

1. In a magical fairyland, I would stop being neurotic and ashamed/afraid of intimacy and/or rejection, and we'll have an exciting and healthy long-term relationship.

2. In a more-realistic world, we will be best friends who watch movies together and exclusively pet one another's hair and take naps and stuff.

Go for it! You'll never know unless you do, and he could be waiting for you to make the first move.

As for me started off today with a domestic assault call, then took my son to his soccer game where some dude was having a beer watching the game... I wonder if people think....at all?

@Pedestrian

I see.

I think you shouldn't give up on flirting with him, it will do you well to try to express interest through body language and gestures, it's a safer risk than verbally expressing interest.

you need to give him a clear sign, ya know? an opening. something that says you're interested in more than a friendship.
im afraid of rejection too but when i like a girl i always drop subtle hints i like her as more than a friend cause how is she gonna now im interested if i don't express it?

In the words of Daniel johnston

"True love is searching too but how can it recognize you unless you step out into the light?"

You gotta put yourself out there and express all those bottled emotions or else you'll never life a full life. i know my sappy cliches won't help you much but my point is don't be afraid to want love and don't be afraid to pursue it.

To add: ain't nobody gonna go shopping in the store if it looks the store is shut down! If it looks like the store is open for business, someone is gonna have a look around. Might not buy a dern thing, but at least they looked.

:yeah:

That's a great analogy that pretty much sums it up.

Is grabbing a guy's schlong actually something that doesn't work for women when it comes to this?

You should hang a "Help Wanted" sign on your tits.

Well no tits to hang it from but I have something else that I'm sure it can hang from?? (I'm sorta confused by your meaning)
