I wasn't around at the time, so I guess I can't really say, but I think that movie had a lot to do with changing people's perceptions about the training standards of American troops. I'm sorry, but if a soldier can't take a punch in a safe, training environment, then they have no business being in the military.

Have ya seen the movie? Pyle was broken down in a totally sadistic manner. His CO should have realized early on that he was pretty much retarded and had him discharged. Instead he chose a strategy that resulted in this.

In today's military, Pyle would be discharged. He would be considered a danger to his compatriots.
Hell, you have a f*cked up big toe and you can get discharged these days. But FMJ was about the Vietnam war. Different times.

Lol, new page confusion.
Camping in that tonight, 8 km down a dark windy forest service rd that I've never driven before, in a thunderstorm.

The rum, port wine, beer and vokda got me pretty ****ing smashed, but my drunkenness did gave me a good idea for a new drone machine. It should be fairly simple to build, although the part with the lenses might be quite difficult and/or expensive to build if I can't find any second-hand.
