At a school show and there's this punk band playing. They're singing in English accents but I know these fools, they're not British. So either the music they're listening to influenced them so much it affected their singing accents or they're just doing a bunch of covers and not saying who they're by.

Seems like I'm going to have to make a stink with my apartment management office.
A week ago my downstairs neighbor knocked on my door saying there was water coming from her bathroom ceiling. I had just taken a bath. The super came up, found zero water on the floor (I'm a f*cking adult), and found that the drainage stopper was loose and was letting water into the wall below the tub and down into her bathroom. The next day he tightened the stopper. I just got a letter stating that I'm responsible for the damages due to my "tub overflow". 1 - That didn't happen. 2 - I'm a renter. I don't own this place. Unless I start filling up the tub and then decide to take a nap, letting the water overflow into the floor, I'm not responsible for that sh*t. 3 - It took them over a week to fix my ceiling lights, which didn't work, and they still haven't fixed my AC, which doesn't work. This is not a good sign two weeks after moving in. Luckily my downstairs neighbor is a crazy Russian woman. She literally told me to tell them to f*ck off, that she'll paint the walls herself and that I can help cause I'm tall. I'm like, hell yeah lady. I like you. Still, I hope this isn't a sign of bad sh*t to come. |
^Your second point is exactly why you shouldn't have to be responsible. That's how my apartment works, anyway. If something bad happens to the apartment that we live in, the apartment maintenance that works here takes care of it and we don't pay a cent. We had our toilet malfunction a few times, and the maintenance came out and installed a completely new tub for the toilet (the thing on the back) and it was completely free of charge. I don't really see why they're putting the blame on you when before you moved in, they should've done a thorough inspection of the apartment to be sure that this type of thing wouldn't happen. Honestly, don't feel like you are responsible, let it fall into the hands of the apartment manager, otherwise take it to someone with more power to settle it.
