Saw Swans last night, it was about a 3 hour set. Afterwards got to talk to Gira for a few seconds, and he signed my copy of "We Are Him".

Mmmmm

I think we need to start a fund to buy Tree Boy a hearing aid. It's gonna be alright, dude. We'll get your hearing back.

Just visited a co-worker to ask if he smelled smoke -- he said a building collapsed and is on fire. The smell is so strong in here, you'd swear there's a fire in this building (and we're a couple of miles away). Civilians and some firefighters were injured -- hope everyone makes it out OK.

Couple of deep fry restaurants on the first floor. A Chinese place and a French Fry place. I wonder if a large propane tank blew?

Those old brick building fires are always bad.

It's a very highly trafficked part of the East Village. Hope no one was seriously hurt. The french fry place, Pommes Frites, I used to bring my kids there when they were toddlers - and B&H Dairy a few doors away, a favorite soup/old fashioned tiny diner place.
