Today, the temperature creeped above freezing, and there was a hint of spring in the air.

Totally returning these bitches. Checked on Amazon and apparently they die really quickly. Like in a few months. That's what I get for being too lazy to do any research.

I got promoted to a lead position at work today. I knew it was happening a week ago but today they announced it. I'm pretty happy about it—more challenges, more responsibilities and a great stepping stone to have on the old resume.

I'm not sure to be honest. My work situation is kind of odd because I work there through an outside agency and therefore have to talk to the third party about things like that. I'm hoping for something of course but I'm more interested in what I'm going to learn and how it's going to help me further along in my career.

Luv that corporate answer at the end. That's the kinda answer that deserves a raise.

You a temp?

No, a contractor. What's the difference? Not much except that what I have really is a fulltime job, my company just uses an intermediary to do their hiring. About 95% of my coworkers are contractors like me.

I think i get it, so the company that gave your promotion wasn't the construction company you really work it was the company you were doing the job for, no?
