I signed up a few years ago on a whim, but have done almost nothing with it and only check on it a couple times a years on similar whims. I'm still contemptuous of all of you Bookers though.

Update: Turns out I got the spelling of the last name wrong, so I just messaged some random dude, but I got the name right this time and it's 99% certain this guy is actually my dad. He "liked" "Conservative Daily" though and posted an anti-Obama meme, so I might just recut him from my life.

Thank you! I'm so excited. I always thought I was above being sensitive to my environments, but these last few months have really taken a toll on my mood and health. I'm glad that I went through a year of therapy and medication for my depression prior to all of this, otherwise I really don't think I would have been able to cope at all.

Just called my dad about a half hour ago after tracking him down last night. He said he wasn't in a place he could talk, so he'd get back to me in a half hour/hour. Asked him if he was *dad's name* and he wouldn't even acknowledge it. Just kept saying he'd call me back. Don't know if he's on the level or I'm just getting a brush off.
