So my mom's girlfriend proposed to her yesterday. My mom doesn't appear to give a flying fvck. She didn't even tell me. I found out by accident. And then I was talking to her after work today and I'm just weirded out by everything... their relationship has definitely had it's ups and downs but even so I'd think that something that monumental would have a bigger impact on her. I don't know... she's always been a very stoic, pragmatic, potentially icy woman but goddamn mom... this woman loves you enough to propose and you're acting like she just made you a nice dinner or something. Idk. Weird feels. I want them to be happy and maybe marriage isn't that big of a deal and they're content to have their relationship as it is or... ****. I feel like this is weirder for me than it should be...
