When you live in Seattle, you're not allowed to bitch about rain.

Today went out with my girlfriend and another friend of ours for a somewhat spontaneous photo shoot around the city. Now off to get coffee and do homework.

Life is good.
It's been years since I've been to Minneapolis (but I spent more time in the suburbs during the time I spent there) but I had an aunt that lived there for nearly 20 years and she still found new things/places every day. The Cities (as people from Minnesota call Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding areas) are an absolutely giant maze of wonder ... though I had a mental breakdown and started to cry when I had to drive through downtown Minneapolis. The streets are really weird there and there's always huge clusters of pedestrians everywhere.

My father lived in south Minneapolis some time before I was born. He told me when I was older that he used to get off work and go straight to his apartment, never looking back or around, never stopping for anything - and ran straight up the stairs. My dad's not a paranoid kind of guy but he was terrified. One rare occasion when he had to go to the gas station, his trip was ruined because someone was holding the attendant at gunpoint.

Good old Mpls.

Are you new to the area?

I get a little irritated when my feet are wet but then I'm like "oh yeah, I live in the prettiest area of the United States so whatever, I can deal"

Yeah, Washington is definitely my favourite of the states I've visited. Maybe because it's close to Canada.

I visited Canada a few years ago, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Victoria is such a cool place.

Victoria is a city I'd love to visit. Last time I was out west, I spent most of my time in Birch Bay, Washington. You know the place?

I spent about 21 years of my life in Northwestern Minnesota, in a town that was about 2 hours away from Winnipeg.

I've never been to Canada (but the people are so nice).

Wait a minute, you know Nathan Fillion as "that dude who plays Castle"? I love Castle, watch it every week, but I'm pretty sure it was created by Firefly nerds and exists entirely to give "that dude from Firefly" a show. You're officially banned from the internet until you've seen Firefly AND Serenity.
