^If it were this time last year, it would definitely be worse. But on the plus side, it's only going to take a month or two until we have the funds for a new car. So we have that to look forward to.

I was able to get a lift to work, then had to take the bus home. The line I was waiting for stops early on Saturday, so I had to wait 30mins for another and walk 2 miles to our apartment (luckily, my other half met me halfway so I wouldn't have to walk alone).

Today was kind of a shitstain on my week, but it could be worse.

Met this hot girl at a fall fair yesterday, got talking, and ended up making out for a bit. When I got home, I realized I'd forgotten to get her number and only knew her first name. I went to bed pretty upset.

This morning, I woke up and discovered that frankly, I don't give a damn. Such is the life of a teenager.

Today I went to McDonald's to return $10 that they overpaid my child in change last week when he went there to buy something with his allowance. (Two chicken patties! Gah! One for himself and one for a friend.)

The manager lady at McDonald's was very surprised when I came in and offered her the $10 with my explanation. My child and I were hoping she wouldn't accept the money, but (sigh) she did.

I ended up giving my child $5 for having told the truth about the extra change he'd received and had hoped to pocket.

I still hope McDonald's goes out of business, but I felt it was right to return the money since it wouldn't be fair to profit from their underpaid worker's error. Or would it be? I don't really know. Return the money and support animal killing OR don't return the money and keep it when it didn't belong to us. Hmmm.

Ah well. The 10 bucks are gone now, back into the bowels of McDonald's.

Spent most of the day in the hospital with an older friend that had a major stroke. I don't know how much longer she is going to hold out.
