I knew you could get comics online for free, but I assumed that since you can't do a lot of things on a Chromebook that I was SOL. Apparently not. I feel like one more piece of the pathetic nerd puzzle has fallen into place. Now if you'll excuse me, I must read Batman Beyond 2.0 issue 1.

I went in to his restaurant today after work. Got off hella late so by the time I got in, they were basically just starting service. He was just too busy to call yesterday and too busy to talk today. However, there was another stage that came in after me. Apparently his references are a little iffy though. Still, I've got competition. He said he'll try and contact me tomorrow. The good news is, everyone I know who works there came in to the shop today for sandwiches and said hi. There are 3 Ryans. What the **** with that ****. How does that even work out??? I'm thinking of nicknaming them- Tall Ryan, Dubstep Ryan, BroRyan. Make whatever inferences you will.
In other news, today I had a customer who couldn't remember her name. One customer forgot their credit card. And another customer was still so drunk from the previous night he couldn't place an order... he got a bagel with cream cheese and an extra strong coffee. And a high-five. Also, at the Embarcadero train station- a pretty damn busy station in SF- there's a big ass bulletin advertisement featuring a dude that looks pretty much exactly like me. I wouldn't wear a leather jacket, but if I did I wouldn't wear that one. But yeah, everything else... skateboard, same shades, long curly hair, scruffy beard... I have the exact same flannel. Some dude asked me if that was me on the poster. Nope. Wears your fat tip when you need it? Bitch was about to get ****in MARKED. Coppin' my style like that, the ****in gall of that ad-agency. I should sue them for something. It's getting tagged, aggressively, sooner than later.

Lounged about most of the day, ran a few errands. Having a veggie bowl for dinner; about to get wasted, then back to work tomorrow afternoon. It's a good life.
(Oh, and it's my birthday in a week!)

I'll be heading out tomorrow morning for a weekend festival (which includes a memorial service for the Patriarch of the fest, who passed away a couple months ago at 92 years old), and basically taking a vacation for the first time in 8 years.

Just going or are you playing? I seem to remember a while back you considering joining, or at least going on tour, with a buddy's band, but you were debating with yourself whether you wanted to do it and possibly hurt your job chances back home or give the idea of that kind of life up for good to focus on "real life" and being "responsible". I don't remember if you ever followed up with how that ended, so I'm kind of curious where you're at in music making and playing these days.
