Average day at work, just got home. Set a date for an interview at the place I think I've mentioned here before. They're just looking for a prep cook, maybe a bartender. Honestly would love to learn to tend a bar but it's a classy place and idk if I could be trusted around that much alcohol...

Really keeping my fingers crossed, my goal was to move outta SF a long ass time ago but it just couldn't happen. But... if I can save up enough money with a second job I could be outta here by the end of August. Keepin them fingers crossed.

Ho-hum day at work today. In the middle of a huge job with others waiting in the wing, so at least I'm busy.

Last night I went to a good friends house. It had been a while since we've caught up since he goes to Jamaica all the time, so we did a bit of catching up. Then, he hands me his deceased brothers guitar... his brother who had passed away about a year ago was one hell of a musician. We played together many times through the years, and he always had high-end guitars. He was quite the perfectionist while still retaining his biker look. But, anyway the guitar is a Carvin electric. Now, I've heard Carvins are quality goods, and have seen him play it when we got together a few times, but I had never actually played it myself (we don't play each others guitars mostly out of respect... in case of a mishap). I took a look at it, sized it up a bit, and then started plucking. I was instantly in love with this piece of craftsmanship. He liked what I was playing, so he grabbed a small amp and plugged me in... things got quite a bit better from there. Every note just sang out, and this thing basically played itself. All I had to do was direct it to where I wanted to go. I'm in lurrrrrve.

I'm a bit apprehensive about taking it though, but we agreed that I'd take ownership after I give him 1 months rent for his pad in Jamaica, and he knows I'll be playing it to honor his brother who was taken way too early in his life.

I can't stop thinking about this today.

My sourdough starter is starting to smell something foul, I don't know if it's the milk or if some unwanted guests have moved in. I'm getting some activity but it's far from frothy, given them one last feed and depending on how much rise I get I'll either throw them out on their ass or bake them. Either way this relationship is finished, starting fresh with plain old water.

Nailed the interview today. Was all pent up and nervous, had a bunch of stuff rehearsed in my head. Then, a moment of clarity. Brain was like

-Dude, you need to chill the **** out. Just wing it, man. It always works. Every time you try and plan it all out you **** up. Wing it, dog. FIDLAR.

So I came to my senses and wung it. I wung it good. Gonna start off as a stage/intern for a couple days Friday/this weekend after my other job which is like 5 minutes away and it's gonna go perfect because it mother****ing has to.

Never noticed before but the head chef is kinda cute. He's like a slightly pudgy little teddy bear. And the sous-chef has a black flag tattoo. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
