I was attacked by a pheasant as a child which is basically just a fancy ass turkey and I have a scar on my face from it so **** that dude.

I'm adding Photographer of Prehistoric Beasts to my resume.

On a side note, a friend of mine once encountered an angry pheasant on a remote hiking trail. He tried to flee but the thing chased him so he turned around and kicked it as hard as he could, which resulted in the death of the beast. He said he felt bad but it was either the bird or him.
