Family came up to visit today, and they surprised me by bringing my dog as well. Great time with the lot of them, went hiking, had lunch, and said our goodbyes as they have a long drive ahead of them. They also brought my back my acoustic guitar now that I know I have room for it, and I've been making love to it ever since they left.

Bought a camcorder and filled my Amazon cart with a bunch of **** for it to be purchased when I get paid Thursday. I could buy it now, but that would overlap my emergency funds.

Last night I went to a pub I've never been to before with a group of good friends. Really traditional, old, beautiful English pub. Some nice imported beers. A library corner with bookshelves, a couple of hundred or so books, candles on the tables, chalkboard walls for "art", sofas and comfortable chairs, and a band in the corner playing some medleys with the likes of Etta James, Marvin Gaye, CCR and James Brown.

Pretty fantastic way to spend a night.
