So I've been picking up shifts working with Burmese food at a pop-up in the usual cafe I work at. My boss with the Burmese stuff wants to take me to Burma and open a restaurant there but I'm freaking out a bit. I haven't invested a lot of time researching but from what little I've learned, Burma is pretty ****ed up and has some serious human rights issues and IDK if where I'd be working would be safe. At the same time, I've never had the opportunity to leave the country let alone learn about a type of food as unique as Burmese. And, if I did go, I'd have free housing and make the equivilant of what I make here in Burmese money. Im torn.

So many people are immigrating here from Burma. Don't go brah. Burmese people don't even want to live there and are coming to the US.

met a really intelligent ojibwe dude whilst on the bus. Dude was practicing syncopated vocals in his native tongue. He had a little recorder and was practicing and replaying it and didn't give a **** that he was bothering everybody.
I go, "what are you doing?" in a typical caucasian im-sure-being-passive aggressive will make him stop fashion but he was extremely candid and I ended up learning quite a lot. He shared my infatuation for corporate espionage(in fact adding to it) as well as some of the commonalities between linguistics, and how it's all verbatim. I've had so many strange encounters in my life. I once met the trainer for Brock Lesner hammered as hell in front of perkins after taking my DT and had to call his mom to pick him up. It was around 11:30 am |

I was down in the city yesterday and those bloody tourists in town for the Super Bowl were getting on my nerves.

You don't even realize what I would give to be there participating in the Super Bowl festivities.
