Yes it does, and thanks for the concern.

I moved into my GF's "Condo" ever since she was diagnosed with the big C, and her upstairs neighbor rents the unit out usually. It's been empty for a while and they (she/owner) didn't have the heat going since the last renters were there (not very bright). Needless to say in temps below 0 and no heat, the pipes are gonna freeze, and freeze they did. We were up until 3am last night with a plumber trying to figure out which pipes go where (it's an old building), and this young kid had no clue. So, we'd clean up the water, then he'd try another pipe. We'd clean up that mess, and he'd try another pipe... Finally isolated it, and went to get some rest before work. This morning I went into work to grab some things that need to get done by Monday and went back home to meet with another plumber that spliced in a new section of pipe. All fixed now, but I need to drywall and paint.

Yeeesh. Is everything dried out? Do you think there may be a potential mold problem in the future? That's what happened at my parents' house, when the toilet flooded overnight the water got underneath the linoleum flooring, soaked into the wood beams, and then flowed down to the room below (second floor washroom). There wasn't a lot of visible water damage, nothing that couldn't easily be fixed with new plaster (yeah, old house) and a paint job.

But then about 3 years later, my dad ripped out the floor in that washroom to put in ceramic tiles, only to discover that there was some mold. So he hired a contractor to remove and replace the sub-flooring, and underneath there was significant mold growth along the wooden beams, stretching out to the hallway. So everything had to be replaced.

Bought three little kitty figurines today (our apartment is just cats and good music) and my new phone case came. Can't take a picture of either because my new phone didn't come with an SD card and I haven't had time to get one yet.

first world problems.

I've been feeling a little down the past few days, not sure why. I pick up my guitar, and a sloppy mess comes out. People don't seem to notice, but when I feel happy I feel like I can be the next Omar Korshid, or the next sludge master when I play, but if I'm in a somber state I can barely even play a scale. My overall view of myself directly affects the quality of whatever comes out of me is what I honestly believe. I'm not sure how I feel about myself, I've been ping-ponging between complete loser and snarky interesting fun guy in terms of self-perception. I've also been dealing with a weird feeling lately, almost like I'm in my own daydreams, and it's getting hard to tell what actually goes on around me and what I think goes on around me.

If you aren't living off the grid you have no room to talk. So can it. You practice the same thing buying up your fancy beers.
