One thing that helps is ranting to a loved one later to get it out of your system. It's not good to build stuff up. I do it with mom usually and she does it with me.

Ki and I rant to each other about bad stuff that happened to us during the day, but we also make a habit of sharing the cool stuff that happened, too. Gotta have a balance. Some people suck, and it's ok to rant about them, but it's also pretty healing to identify the cool/nice things that other people do.

Great evening with the fellas/bandmates and we had a great jam that went in a few directions that we haven't explored before. In these past weeks I've been feeling as if we've fallen into a rut musically, but I'm glad that we finally found a turnaround point for the progression of our style :).

I've dealt with retail customers my whole life and I've also dealt with some of the most atrocious people imaginable. The worst was this guy, I was duty bound to help him but I was just *seething* inside as he towed along his battered wife, her face was just a bruised mess. I was SO angry but there was nothing I could do.

Share some of the nice stuff. I'm getting tired of you griping about the bad sucky customers. :P

Although it's actually a good thing to have some type of rut (keeps things tight), exploration can be a step into a better type of rut.

I'm having one of those days where I'm tired of everyone's ****. The GF, my job, my band, my friends. The only thing that could possibly cheer me up is my daughter.

I think I'll call her right now.

My nipples are really cold and pointy. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Ladies?

And do guys get it too?

awesome-style customer stories, coming right up.

Spoiler for Neat little girls:
Here's a more recent one: it was sale day, and it was crazy. I mean, we couldn't even roll racks of clothing out without worrying about customers everywhere. I was at the register and this chick had a huge order. I think there might have been 30-40 hangers to pull from the whole thing. She also had two sweet little daughters that sorted and hung the hangers on my register's hanger rack - all in the correct orientation for loading and unloading. They were even happy to do it. That lady was clearly winning at being a parent. I was so grateful for their help.

Spoiler for Old dudes think I'm cute:
Another cool customer from my current job asked to see some of the vinyl kept in our locked case (admittedly, a lot of the people working in the back don't know how to properly price this stuff - or the fact that most of that stack wasn't worth more than a couple dollars). He was pretty cool, in his 40s or 50s, and we talked about music and vintage stuff. He told me he liked my glasses (they're really similar to the ones Buddy Holly used to wear) and my hair (which is really, really long) and that he wished there were "more young ladies like [me]".

I get those types of comments all the time (I even had a lady tell me I was "cute" once!) but that dude really stood out (because he was cool).

Spoiler for Monday lady:
There's this customer that always comes in on Monday. (When "new" product comes out.) She's really cool and always talks to everyone as if we're her friends (I guess we are, in some way, because we provide her with her favorite shopping experience) and I just think that's really nice. She knows most of us by name, too!
