That, my friend, is pretty ****ing sad.

That's awful, I'm really sorry to hear that hun. I hope things get better for the children and that he gets some help for his drug problem.

idk the only really sad part imo is the drug addiction. Having to move away from friends and moving to a new area/school isn't enough to scar someone for life.

I've moved so much when I was younger and I don't have any childhood friends as a result of it but I think I'm doing okay now for myself. I'm sure there are others that have gone through the same thing being Army brats and what not.

I don't think the issue is whether or not it's gonna scar them for life though, but rather that the father is willing to completely uproot his kids, take them from their friends, their schools, their lives, all to follow some random chick he met playing a game on Facebook. This all after he already lost the house and forced them all to go and live in a motel.

It's not just selfish and rather insane, but it could be seen as signs that he maybe isnt a terribly fit father or could do with considering more what's good for his family rather than just himself.

Maybe moving to a different area/environment will be good for the kids in the long run. The whole process of moving isn't evil.

No, but the reasons behind his decision and his willingness to do so are not exactly solid, are they? They certainly arent beneficial to his children. It even kinda sounds as if he's willing to do despite what may be best for his children.

That is sad.

My point is that maybe going to a new environment may be best for his children in the long run.

Why would you think that though? Given the circumstances, he is the only one set to gain from rolling the dice

You may well be right, but it would be a happy coincidence. I mean, do you think chasing a Pop Farm girl is a good enough reason to uproot his children? Or isnt selfish?

Thats whats sad about it.
