Me and my best friend have hatched a brilliant plan that was set in motion today. An impressionable and somewhat daft (I hate to be mean but it's true) 17 year old has been in our main trio for the good part of two years, and he is the butt of our joke. What's our devious plan? We are going to trick poor Spencer into liking Kenny G.

We listened to Kenny G's first holiday album (the source of my avatar) after a lead in smooth song by Sun Ra. He didn't realize we had switched artists. I know. Two songs in, we started talking about how his melodies are so creative and how well the band was put together, all the while holding back shit eating grins. He bought it and began bringing up points about other things he liked about it. Step one of our horrid plot has officially gone underway, and now we wait until we slowly turn him into a massive Kenny G fan. Mwahahaha and such.

Pretty good day. Listened to Rubber Soul in Mono and Chuck Berry's The Great Twenty Eight. My boyfriend got home, and we ate and watched MasterChef

Oh and also I signed up for this place called music banter..and was welcomed very warmly by all you kind, wonderful people. :)

And so far its been a good day, I just got word that while my band didn't win the spot to open up for Sublime With Rome tonight, we were in the top 10 of consideration out of 1000+ groups!! I feel truly blessed, it is really inspiring for us!

My younger brother and I have been jamming quite a bit since I've gotten home from Nicaragua. He's playing bass like a lead guitarist and I'm on drums. We're fairly in sync, playing a lot of stuff that sounds like doom metal and fuzzy jazz, but most of the time it's something in between the two. I'm actually getting pretty excited, we're talking seriously about starting a REAL band when I get home for good at Thanksgiving, not just jamming all the time. What's also very exciting is we are both wanting to incorporate samples and electronic elements into our project, if it should actually exist, and thus my dream band would actually happen! I'm so happy.

In case you were wondering, my dream band can pretty much follow this formula.

well slept in and did some work and bene drinkin ever since. friends are busy or out of town tonite and i got no plans. was thinkin of goin to the bar down the street but i dont even wanna make an effort right now. i feel very paranoid. my paranoia gets very strong sometimes but ive never had mental help. maybe i shuld talk to someone but i feel like that is a very PUSSY way of handling problems so ive never done it. i am goin to drink these pounders til i pass out tonite hopefully erly cause i wanna wake up at a decent time tmrw

Today I got rid of most of my stuff said goodbye to all my really close friends and moved across the country. Thought I would be happier but am actually pretty bummed now that Im here and dont know a soul. That will probably change though in time.

As corny as it sounds it makes me happy knowing that you musicbanter people are still always here.
