My day involved pickin up my new toy after work.

A little gift for myself considering I got a hefty chunk back for Income Tax.

Found out today that my mom is a cougar. She's dating a man in his thirties - who happens to be a coach for my (and her!) alma mater's RIVAL football team. My mom really doesn't look her age at all, though. Most people peg her as early thirties, and some still think she's in her twenties and is my sister. My family has good genes, I guess. Everyone at work was mind blown when they found out that not only was I of legal drinking age, but have been since the last year Bush was in office. Apparently everyone there thinks/thought I'm 18 or 19.

In fact, today at my cousin's graduation, a man was trying to hit on my mom, and turned to me, and was like, "Are you going to graduate next year, or the year after?" I was like, "The year after next is my ten year reunion, so..."

I think a part of it is I exude a bizarre air of innocence that is not at all in keeping with my actual personality. I get pulled over, and cops apologize to me.

Nice!

I've been looking for a 125cc (or around that, don't wanna kill myself) in a quad since most of the trails around here were worn in by quads.

Just called the Samaritans which is something I thought I would never do and I still don't feel any better!

They were really good but it didn't do the trick

Worked my ass off today. Came into work and my supervisor told me what a great job I have been doing and he is happy they hired me. Made me happy for the rest of the day.

Walking out the door this morning to go into the back yard, I noticed a FREAKING HUGE WOLF SPIDER! I stopped so fast I chipped my toenail on the threshold. The abdomen was probably the size of a dime alone. The first attempt at sqiushing it with my bare foot didn't do the trick, I had to press down harder until I heard/felt the "Pop!". So much blood.

On a lighter note, we got asked to be the house band at a bar we played last summer.

...oh! and FRED might appreciate that we dropped "Turn Me Loose" and "Play That F.M." from our immediate setlist. We'll play em only if requestd or we run out of material. We're adding "Stone In Love" (Journey), and "Draw The Line" (Aerosmith).

Nah man, I like Mike Renos vocals on Turn Me Loose. :O) Stone in Love is a solid replacement for it however.
