Whats the make/model/year? We could easily check into it.
80 Bucks is dirt cheap for a sway bar kit. You can usually just buy replacement end link kits and frame bushings too, usually run about 25-30 bucks and tightens the frt end back up.

2000 Volvo S70 T5. Needs new brakes too... I called my dad and he said he can do all of that for me but I'll have to wait till the weekend and then leave it with him for a couple of days. Not a problem but I just don't want to take the bus if I have to go somewhere lol.

He works so hard and I thought I'd give him a break... maybe I'll go back to the kitchen and make him a nice sandwich and get him a beer.

You should send your boyfriend over to learn how to do this ****. Your dad shouldn't be doing this **** on weekends when you have a perfectly healthy 20ish year old boyfriend. Thank God for pops though.

I could... and I might, hahaha. You're saying I should basically have him whipped, right?

My dad has nothing better to do on his weekends than to do routine engine maintenance at no charge, lol.

Just as i suspected, one bolt on the tensioner pulley. Slide the belt off and replace with the new belt.

You should still have Yakov head over and help your dad.

One of the end links was completely gone, and the bar itself rusted through and snapped on one end, so the whole kit is gonna be needed. You can tell this car sat for a long time before a buddy bought it at an auction. One of the things I was looking for was flood damage, and it didn't appear to be the case, just a bit of rust from sitting around in the elements for years, but it never dawned on me to look at the swaybar. The only reason I noticed it is when I took the wheel off to replace the pads.

Wow thats scary. Might wanna check the strut rod bushings also. Sounds like you checked everything I would have. The main issue is always gonna be no frame damage. Sounds like a decent purchase.

I almost forgot a neighborhood stray cat I always fed and laid out a warm bed outside in winter passed on this weekend due to old age. RIP My Lil Buddy. You'll be missed old timer.

Yeah I could do that myself. But my dad said he would do it for me, plus the brakes, so I took him up on the offer.

It's not really a risk issue at this point, just makes the car ride like a boat on water for now. The coolant overflow was gummed up with oil, so I knew it had blown a head gasket, and had been replaced at some point, and that was conveyed to me from the get-go by my buddy that sold it to me. Just a few minor issues, but other than that it wasn't bad for the price.

Sorry to hear about your little friend. R.I.P. kitty.
