So?

*edited to add: I'm just saying if people make that choice there's nothing wrong with it. If it icks you out, well there's nothing wrong with that either.

Spent all weekend working on my moms car. Got her rolling, don't ever change a water pump on a 2006 honda civic. Had to basically pull the engine. Good times.

I've had 90's Civics (2 of em), but never had to change the water pump. I was considering a JDM motor for one of them at some point, and even pulled up some start to finish instructions on a DIY site. Some brilliant engineering, but also a PITA.

Glad you got her mobile Fred.

Sometimes you run into issues with Hondas, but you can basically weld the hood shut most of the time. Clearance issues are typically the only problems. She depends pretty heavily on her car so I like to keep moms mobile if I can. I think most cars have some issue with regard to maintenance, unless its a classic. Lots of room to work in the old classics, I love working on my buddys Mustangs and Impala.

My car needs a new serpentine belt. Unfortunately I don't think it's something I can replace myself. Ugh.

I picked up a '97 Buick Century for the daughter. Easy to work on, and parts are relatively cheap. Did her brakes over the weekend and found out she needs a sway arm. $80 for the whole kit. Not too shabby.

Performed in front of a crowd today for the first time. There was about 30 people in my music class and we had to perform our latest compositions. I sweat so much when I get nervous, in the end my fingers were sliding across the strings.

What is your boyfriend good for if he can't change a serpentine belt? They are fairly simple and usually just require removing one bolt from the idler pulley setup.
