What a fecking drama. I would seriously complain if I were you. Are you still working in the clinic? Or are you going to get another job?

What do you want to do in terms of dream job? You have a music degree right?

Yeah, I'll be working in that sex health clinic for the next couple of months. When I leave I'm going to definitely miss the free lube and dumb questions

I want to be a school teacher. Yes, I have a music degree :)

Oh sweet! Honey, just stock up on the free lube, get a big supply built up over next couple of months! How many hours do you work? Consider it commission haha!

I know I'd certainly fecking miss the dumb questions. Has anyone asked you if giving a blow job will get you pregnant? That's one I read in Cleo Magazine years ago lol.

I think you may have told me that. You'll be a great teacher. Why do you need a masters? Or are you just doing it for fun? Will you teach secondary school?

I decided that I will never understand why people call me, screaming like a banshee, just to make a payment.

I deliver the balance in full, and they shrilly burst my eardrums with, "WHY IN THE **** DO YOU THINK I'M CALLING YOU ****ING IDIOT?!"

I say that I can take the payment over the phone, and they say, "DO YOU WANT THE ****ING CARD NUMBER OR NOT, YOU GODDAMNED **** BITCH?!"

Sometimes, I get irritable and say with the slightest hint of a "tone": "I'd like to know if you'll be paying with a Visa, Mastercard, checking account, or other card type today, actually."

Turns out, that doesn't count against QA, as long as I sound calm when I say it. Thumbs up to that. That's fortunate. UNfortunately, I can't say, "I don't understand why you feel the need to be so rude, however. I'm trying to assist you. Have I done something to upset or offend you? If so, I do apologize, but again: I am just trying to assist you with paying your bill at this time."

That DOES count against QA. We can advise them that if they don't stop using profanity, we can (and will) disconnect the call, and if they personally attack us we can do the same, but we can't ask them why they're being complete hateful bitches.

As an aside: White women between the ages of 20-40 are the worst customers you can possibly imagine. THE. WORST.

I do get really irked when they call, screaming at me from the get-go, when I've done nothing at all to offend them. I've been QA'd on a few of those calls, and managers and QA advocates have been all, "I don't see how you stay so calm on those calls, to be quite honest."

In all honesty, I'm not that calm on those calls. My blood pressure may raise, and the urge to just ****ing hang up on them certainly springs to mind.

Today has been quite an up and down day. I went out to FedEx to get my business cards printed. I knew I didn't have TOO much time, and that business card printers are rather expensive. I decided on them, since they're close by and I wouldn't have to worry about shipping. I wasn't looking forward to the price though, considering it'd be around $45.00 + tax, and that's if I chose the basic one. On top of that, the minimum was 250, and I only need 50 at most. The worst part is that I really don't have much cash, so it hurt.

When I got there I said I'd be getting business cards printed, and he said, "How many do you want?" I said, "Whatever the absolute minimum is". He replied, "Well, you can get however many you want. 250 is just for our printing press." I found out it would only be around $30, and that they'd be done in a few hours. I was ecstatic.

I got a call around 9:00, saying that they were all done. Instead of waiting until tomorrow, I wanted to see how they came out so I went and got them right away. I checked them out to make sure they printed okay, and they seemed fine. When I got home, and on further inspection, I realized they were horribly thin. "I can't give these to designers. They can't even support their own weight." Mind you, this is for a class where we'll be meeting with local designers to show off our work. This is when I realized that this kind of business card was for local businesses who didn't care.

As each minute passed, I became more and more disappointed. I looked to my fragrance collection, and decided to make a few posts in some fragrance groups I'm a member of on Facebook. I told them I'd sell whatever I had. I need the money. I refuse to give out these business cards, and I don't know if they will return them.

In a few minutes time I get a message from one of the members. He's on my Facebook and I had conversed with him a few times previously. He asked, "What's your Paypal address?" I responded with it, and asked, "Which one are you interested in?" "Whatever one you like the least." At this point I realized it was almost like a donation, and I felt pretty damn elated that someone this kind existed. "Actually, whatever one you like the best", he sent shortly thereafter. I then checked my Paypal, wondering if he actually sent me something. I was selling everything for $35, with an exception of a rare one that was discontinued years ago. I was selling that one for $50.

He sent me $75.00.

He responded, "I already have too many fragrances. Just hold on to that one."

I feel like I'm on a cloud. A man I've never met in real life sent me real money for an issue that doesn't affect him. Unbelievable.

Sounds like a friend of mine. She calls it "being assertive" but I can think of a few other words that are probably closer to the truth.

I mean, seriously. Be assertive all you want. When someone answers the phone, as nice as they can be, please don't scream like a harpy, and expect naught but kindness.

You get me, you'll get kindness, but my experience? I've been through the wringer. If you want an arrangement, you'll probably get it, but don't yell at me and tell me when you're going to pay.

I will attempt to redirect the call say that I can look into options for you, but treating me like **** does not do you any favours.

Also, I'm doing my JOB. You want a supervisor? I'll get you to the next level of support, but I'm sure as **** going to tell them how and why you're escalating, and noting it as a memo. I don't get why you treat me like a second class citizen when you're incapable of even paying your ****ing phone bill, but there you have it.

Yeah that seems to be the bit my friend doesn't get. However legitimate her complaint I don't think it gives her the right to ream the unfortunate individual who happened to answer her call.

I got the same thing from middle aged black women when I worked at Burger King. They always wanted everything specially made, and god help you if the fries weren't hot. And if everything wasn't exactly perfect they would flip out. It's like some people don't understand that this isn't a real restaurant. This is a fast food joint. You come here because you're broke and/or you don't have time to eat anywhere else...or you're high. If you expect good food and high quality service, go to Subway.

I'm really pissed off, I've got a bruised tailbone so every time I move, stand up, sit down , bend over or go for a **** I'm in incredible pain.
