Intent on killing the motherfucker I look down to see what it is and see a big ass motherfucking black spider. It's abdomen was roughly the size and shape of a pee, maybe a little bit bigger. It's legs were thick as fuck and you could see where they were segmented. It was about as big as a dollar coin. I grabbed a bunch off tissues and quickly killed the shit out of that bitch, looked at the bottom of her, and saw a splotch of red. It was too smashed to make out the hourglass, but there was definitely red and it looked exactly like a fucking black widow. It crawled not six inches away from me, and that's just when I noticed it. For all I know it was crawling on me. *shiver*
This scared the crap out of me just reading it! I can't believe that you killed the spider with some tissue. In that situation I'd have to evacuate the room whilst keeping an eye on the spider so I know where it is. In the meantime I'd call somebody to deal with it! Even then I wouldn't want it killed just taken out of the house.

Do you live in a wooden house? As I've also heard (I don't know how true it is) that wooden built houses in the USA are more prone to attract spiders than concrete houses.

Sheesh, careful with spiders there. I feel them all over me now.

I actually watched Jurassic Park 2 last night, knocked out, woke up, went on my laptop and listened to "My Life for Hire" by A Day to Remember while putting stuff on my to-do list of today, went downstairs, ate breakfast (Reece's Puffs and an English Muffin), took my computer downstairs and looked some stuff up, too it back upstairs, went on MLK forums and answered questions on my Q&A, wished one of my friends a Happy Birthday on there, got a message from someone showing me a song called "Soutern Red", watched ADTR perform "All I Want" and "This is the House That Doubt Built" live from YouTube, went online to Music Banter, browsed through some forums, and am now listening to a playlist of ADTR's "This is the House That Doubt Built".

Not much, it's just the start of the day. X3

Shit day, just found out my half brother has most likely got prostate cancer, we aren't very close and he's about 15 years my senior but it's still a shock to hear about it.

Tough, man. Always horrible to hear that sort of news. Hope he manages to beat it, or they can at least cure it.

Batlord, why don't you do something useful and start a quest to kick the **** out of cancer with that bloody great sword ya got, huh?

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they found it early enough.

From what he's told me on the phone, he seems to think if he is diagnosed with prostate cancer that it will be caught in the early stages. I'm not sure if he's being just optimistic here, as he has also told me that he's had some related health issues for quite some time now.

Anyway cheers to both of you for commenting.

Well it was like five tissues. I certainly wasn't gonna do it with only one or two. And I was NOT gonna let that thing live. If I let it get away and lost track of it I'd wouldn't be able to sleep in that room. I don't mess with most spiders, so long as they are web spiders, but a Black Widow has to die. I'm not taking the chance of taking it outside and it going back into the house and crawling into my mouth when I'm asleep.

Brick. It's the only Black Widow I've ever seen outside of an exhibit, so I figure it was just a freak occurrence, but I can't help but be nervous whenever I try to go to sleep.

My Dad just went through Prostate Cancer and has a clean bill of health. He's old too, so I'd say your guy will make it through alright.
