I look to see what it is and see a spider crawling not six inches away from me going over the side of my bed. It's legs were thick as fuck and you could see where they were segmented. It was about as big as a dollar coin. I grabbed a bunch off tissues and quickly killed the shit out of that bitch, looked at the bottom of her, and saw a splotch of red. It was too smashed to make out the hourglass, but there was definitely red and it looked exactly like a fucking black widow. It crawled not six inches away from me, and that's just when I noticed it. For all I know it was crawling on me. *shiver*

This scared the crap out of me just reading it! I can't believe that you killed the spider with some tissue. In that situation I'd have to evacuate the room whilst keeping an eye on the spider so I know where it is. In the meantime I'd call somebody to deal with it! Even then I wouldn't want it killed just taken out of the house.

From what he's told me on the phone, he seems to think if he is diagnosed with prostrate cancer that it will be caught in the early stages. I'm not sure if he's being just optimistic here, as he has also told me that he's had some related health issues for quite some time now.

If I let it get away and lost track of it I'd wouldn't be able to sleep in that room. I don't mess with most spiders, so long as they are web spiders, but a Black Widow has to die. I'm not taking the chance of taking it outside and it going back into the house and crawling into my mouth when I'm asleep.


Brick. It's the only Black Widow I've ever seen outside of an exhibit, so I figure it was just a freak occurrence, but I can't help but be nervous whenever I try to go to sleep.
