Have I mentioned that I quite like the Welsh language?
The only word I can remember is ysgol, and that's just because my nanna lives across the street from a school.

In 2006 I was thinking of going to school in Wales, and was looking at Bangor University, where I did an impromptu tour. The school seemed pretty nice and I really liked Bangor as a town. It had kind of a sleepy vibe to it, but with enough going on that you don't want to kill yourself just to liven things up, like what I suspect some of the towns in the midwest states must be like. Don't really know where I was going with that though.

Work was quiet today so I decided to do my taxes. First time in my life I'm getting over $1000 back from the government. THANKS, OBAMA!

Getting the blame for a burn in our carpet at the top of the stairs that apparently wasn't there two days ago.

I live with non smokers who pick up the scent of smoking days after the house has been aired if they go on holiday.

Do they really think I'm that stupid and it obv wasn't caused by smoking cause they would have smelt it.

Retards, I smoke in my car.

Apparently you still can't see the shift key.

Filed my taxes; expecting $876 in refunds for state and federal combined; and I was unemployed until September, so that's not too shabby. Way better than expected. I'll be getting a BlackBerry Z10 with my refund - funds already allocated to that. I'm a total RIM fangirl. Salivating over the new OS and BlackBerry Flow feature.

Also bought ten books today on Amazon. They are:

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius - Dave Eggers
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz
Darkmans - Nicola Barker
Skippy Dies - Paul Murray
Schroder - Amity Gage
Portrait of an Artist, as an Old Man - Joseph Heller
Behindlings - Nicola Barker
Sharp Teeth - Toby Barlow
American Gods - Neil Gaiman
White Teeth - Zadie Smith

Seeing as most were acquired for an even $4, including shipping, couldn't be happier. Can't wait to get them.

I also geeked out over the fantastic acting award honorees at the Oscars this evening. I won't watch Les Mis because I really hate the music, but I do enjoy Anne Hathaway and have no doubt she did a good job. Lawrence, Waltz, and Day-Lewis are all very loved by me. Also, kind of liked seeing QT get his second screenwriting Oscar. Even if he's fidgety and makes me nervous to watch.

When you get rich and famous remember your humble beginnings. I might need to borrow a few quid from ya.
