Still, I have to admit it's sweet!

I'M GOING FLATSCREEN AND HD! About ten years behind everyone else, but at least I'm getting there!

And no, I didn't deliberately sabotage my old tv so that this would happen. I loved that old beast...!

Awesome! Enjoy man.

Now thats making lemonade.

I just took a gander at a 3D flatscreen yesterday at a friends house. She put on the movie Hugo, and HOLY CRAP! I was blown away, but then I am kind of simple and easy to please.

My cousins family and my own family stay in this tiny village, just round the corner from my papa. So my dad invites him round to my aunts to watch the football and he stayed afterwards for a little drink (2 halfs, he doesn't drink much cos he's 82) and on his walk home he stopped in at a mates, got drunk and then fell at the steps outside his home and lay there for about 4hours because he couldn't get himself up. He's too bloody proud to shout on a neighbour to help him so he just lay there. This worries me sick because if it was any colder last night he would've genuinely died, which would break my heart. Need to get the guy a mobile or something. Still can't believe how close I came to losing my papa but he is good and well so I guess we will need to do something so if he has a fall again, we can help him. Which I would be obliged to do, if he called me at any time.

Can he get one of those pendant things that you hang around the neck, and if you fall it alerts the emergency services, or something? Not sure how they work, or if they work outdoors, but might be worth looking into. Or maybe a pager? Glad he's okay; it's tough when you have that sort of worry.
