No... we were only going to live there for a couple of months anyways, and by the time it really started to annoy us, it was close to moving day. My boyfriend was the one they complained to, so I don't know exactly what he said back. Oh man, that would have been so hilarious. |

Work, then beer!
I'm going to try to lead the floor in money collected today. See how that works out.

I was supposed to interview a journalist based out of London for a journalism assignment, but my dumbass forgot to get an international calling card. Now he's not available before the interview assignment is due, because this was the only 30 minute chunk that he had out of the day today and for the rest of the weekend he's out. I probably won't be able to do the assignment since none of the other writers/editors that I appealed to responded to me. Fuck.
EDIT: the writer found time to do the interview so I got to do it! It was a great interview. I'm glad that I recorded it though, his accent got a bit hard to understand at times, especially when it's being played over a speakerphone.

And strangely, I kind of like my job, which is weird. I just applied because the pay was pretty good, and it was full time. I expected to loathe it, because I've hated call center work before. This one's not bad, though. I get solid QA scores, and I'm good at collecting money without pissing the customers off. Plus, most of the people who work here are really cool. There are the occasional *******s and ****ty people, but they don't last long. And honestly, answering calls, taking payments, setting up payment arrangements, and restoring suspended accounts isn't bad at all. It's not nearly as stressful as I thought, even when there are over 100 customers in queue and the calls are back to back. I collected over $3500 today, and it was a slow day for the most part.

So I had my trial at opera bar today. I think I went well. The place is freakin' huge. I have to learn all the areas to dictate where the food goes. I'm glad I didn't work at the main bar first because the amount of stock and different drinks is just like a damn bottle shop stock. But you can wear sunglasses at the outside bar. They are very anal and meticulous about how they want you to pour drinks and put things in order.
Btw for the second time, damn the place is huge. It's like the hugest bar I've ever seen.

Where is the best place to pick up an online job? My desperation for a job is going to leave me putting flyers through doors IN THE COLD!! or cleaning someones home for 2hours a week. Which is not what I want to be doing.
1. my immune system is fucking non-existent 2. I won't even make enough money to fucking travel there and back. This is seriously the biggest buzzkill of my life. I need to pull £250 quid out of my arse by the end of the month for my car and road tax. FML.
