First day of work was great.
They gave me personal business cards, a key to the building, and have a large refrigerator stocked with countless 12-packs of free soda. Nice workspace with a view, dual monitors, plenty desk space and storage, flexible hours, and some really nice co-workers. Not to mention my boss is pretty good looking, and very laid back. I won't mind if she comes around asking if I got the memo about the TPS reports...

Fuck dual monitors and the horse they rode in on. I used to work at a place that had a trading floor right in the middle of the office and there was a guy in there who had, I shit you not, an array of 8-10 monitors he worked from. It was some serious bat-cave shit.

Just landed an interview in Opera Bar. I'm not sure if anyone knows the landmark structure The Opera House in Australia, but it's right beside it almost linked. It's an open roofed bar next to sea with such fresh air. In terms of bars, that would be such a dream bar to work in. I hope I land it, would make me so happy out of my crappy situation.

The music scene there is jazz, blues and soul with live artists that play. So damn good.

Is it true that there are sharks in the bay that eat people?
