So glad things went well for your dad. My mom had quadruple bypass surgery not too long ago, so I can imagine the stress y'all must have felt before and during the procedure. Hope you got to see him!

Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she is doing OK and on the road to a full recovery. Best wishes to you and yours, as well. |

Today I get to test drive the 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid my friend wants to sell me. Normally I'd be all over it, but it has 170k on it and an iffy transmission. I had my Jeep's transmission rebuilt in Mexico and that cost me $1500, and I'm hoping that because this Honda isn't 4 wheel drive, the cost of fixing it would be even less. Funnily enough it's actually cheaper to insure than my Jeep is as well, and I would be using the proceeds from my Jeep to fix the Honda, but then that means I still need to do some work on my Jeep to get it a position where I can sell it for more than $1000. In any case I think it's a deal worth making, even if I need to park the Honda on the street for a month or two as I save up the money to fix the Jeep.
Oh, I also just made bacon, hashbrowns, and eggs, and the smell didn't wake any of my roommates up, which is kind of a shame because I was going to surprise them with breakfast. |
