Anyway, we made eye contact and he started singing the chorus to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" at the top of his lungs and returned to his grading.

There's nothing quite like a community college.
Are you serious?
Because that's almost too crazy to believe.

I'm serious, man. The LSD culture is pretty large here in Southern California, so that might explain a lot of his actions. I assumed that he was a professor, he could have just been an older student or something.

My dad had his triple bypass operation yesterday. Seems to have gone well. Hopefully get to see him over the weekend.

Incredibly on edge right now. Supposed to ride up to work for my final training assessment with my best bro, and he's not been in touch yet today. We'll have to leave at 12:30, so I'm kind of ****ting myself thinking he's going to flake...which would mean that if I can't get another arrangement in the next hour or so, I'm going to be fired.

I hope your friend showed up on time and didn't get you fired.

This is more of a weekend projection, but given that this is the first weekend I've actually had to myself since my move, I think I'm going to treat myself to a quarter ounce, a fantasy novel, and some old school CRPG action. I might even go see The Master, and maybe even watch the extended edition of Fellowship of the Ring. Then Sunday evening I might be playing board games with my friends, so yeah... totally nerding out hard this weekend.

Damn that sounds like a good weekend. Wish I could do that. Minus the weed.

The weed is the glue that holds the entire weekend together.
