Today did not start out well but ended up pretty good. I got to spend time at school and also with my family. :)

Just had a thought about FlyingPig. What if... he has multiple personalities, and Derek is his evil side or something? All his aggressive personality traits go straight to Derek and he only believes Derek is his jerk neighbor?

why would I lie about something i hate doing?

if i lie about my profession, i'd probably say i'm in a rock group or something

I got this weird huge body ache for the last couple of days. Was sickening. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow so I can resume job search. Might have to re-do Responsible Service of Alcohol course to extend certification to work in bars.

I wonder, does any other country require this cert and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (for if bars have poker machines or casinos) to work in bars?

more relaxed and slower at work today

Thank God

i was close to freaking out on Tuesday

had a pretty severe vertigo attack yesterday as well, the room kept spinning and I was close to puking

on top of that, my GP went bust

Well in Ontario if you work in any restaurant or any other place that serves alcohol or sells alcohol (like just where you'd pick up a pack of beer), you have to take the Smart Serve training course: https://www.smartserve.ca//en/web/guest/training.

But you only need to take it once in your life though. You get a card upon completion of training and passing the final exam, and it doesn't expire. You only have to remember to carry the card with you while working. I got certified a couple of years ago when I got a temporary seasonal job at a golf course, so I don't need to take the course again. Sometimes your employer wants requires you to take a brief re-certification if there are changes made to the program, but it hasn't changed in a while.

there is only one legal casino here

and no, you don't require a cert to work in a bar or in a casino

just don't ****ing disturb the female entertainers when at work

Rjinn 09-06-2012 07:59 AM

Ah ok. I heard it wasn't required in America and England.

I don't think it is here but I'm not sure. I am pretty sure poker machines in bars are much rarer here than in Australia though.
