Since job hunting in Sydney is a pain the ass, been out of a job for a while. So... I hit all the bars in the next suburb. Got home, ate junk, watched a couple of movies and did a 20 minute workout. Now I'm here... With background music of course.

Two women pulled over today to ask me for directions as I was walking along the dual carriage way. They wanted to know the way to 'a shopping outlet'. After a brief conversation which confused me I said 'do you know what it's called?'. They didn't!

Emailed my first post-college resume to a prospective employer today. Made sure to do it after work hours because I'm totally going to having a gun-jump celebration and I didn't want to interview today, should they call.
God, I hope they don't try to offer me a crap salary. Entry-level wages in this field is no less than 15 dollars an hour, and I have 6 years experience, but I really want to work at this place and it's a small company, so I'm not sure what they're willing to pay. I have a tendency to sell myself short with employment, but I think I'll have enough savings to pay the bills for several months should I man up and attempt to become employed on my own terms. All in all, though, I'm pretty excited. I'm eager to start earning a decent salary so I can start saving for a down-payment on a house, which is the main thing in my future. I already feel like I'm late to the game, being 31 and still living in an apartment, but I guess the time I took preparing for this was well spent. We'll see. |

Ah man, I just can't wait until I get a house. It's pretty great being single and with no kids, because I have all these plans for my house that I'll probably be able to afford! Haha... I think by the time I hit 40, I'll be ready to start focusing on not me. |
